Finally I talk about THE essential staple food. BEER. But as a Bavarian I cruelly see a difference between beer and beer. It has to be frothy, not too bitter and please not too sweet. The beer brand that I am craving for is Augustiner Brewery. There, the lager tastes like home to me.
Und dann passiert’s. Kulturschock.
And then it happens. Culture shock. Canada and its craft beer selection. From Oatmeal-chocolate to Orangebitter and Raspberry flavored. The Canadians don’t shrink from anything. Well, I am openminded so I give the experients a chance 😀 I have to say, now and then the trial wasn’t too bad. But not even my beer should taste like chocolate! Maybee I should visit the St. Augustines Bar on Commercial Drive! My own favorite brewery is Steamworks. They have a recent choice and you find some traditional Lagers on the menu though. Thank you for a bit of a home in my glass 🙂
